About Us

We started Darasug because we kept running into the same frustration on camping trips — chairs that wobbled on uneven ground, felt uncomfortable after an hour around the fire, or took up too much space in the truck. We figured other people had the same problem.

We are a small team based in Kalispell, Montana. Most of us camp regularly — national parks, backyard fires, RV weekends with the family. That experience shapes what we look for in a folding chair: something stable enough to stay put on dirt and grass, light enough to carry from the parking lot to the site, and comfortable enough for the long part of the evening when nobody wants to get up.

Our Story

Darasug was built around one straightforward idea — make outdoor seating that actually holds up. Not just for the first season, but for years of regular use. We noticed that a lot of folding chairs looked fine in product photos but fell short in practice: thin armrests, frames that flex underfoot, fabric that stretches out after a few months.

We spent time reading through outdoor forums, camping subreddits, and Q&A communities to understand what people actually complained about. The same themes came up over and over: stability on soft ground, comfort during long sits, and whether the chair could handle real weight without wobbling. Those conversations directly shaped what we carry.

What We Sell

We sell folding chairs for outdoor use — the kind you would bring to a campsite, set up at a backyard cookout, or keep in the back of your vehicle for whenever you need a seat.

Our chairs are built around a few things that matter most for real outdoor use:

  • A wide, stable base that does not sink easily into soft ground or grass
  • Armrests at a natural resting height so your shoulders stay relaxed
  • A frame and fabric combination rated for extended, regular outdoor use
  • A folded size that fits in the cargo area of most SUVs, trucks, and RVs without forcing anything

We sell what we would actually bring on a trip. If a chair does not meet that standard, it does not go in our catalog.

Real Situations We Designed For

A lot of product descriptions talk about chairs in general terms. We would rather be specific about the situations ours work best in.

Around a campfire. You are sitting for two, three, sometimes four hours. The chair needs to stay comfortable that long. The armrests need to be positioned so you can actually rest your arms, and the seat needs enough depth that you are not sliding forward by the end of the night.

At a backyard BBQ or cookout. People get up, pull chairs together, move around. A chair that unfolds and folds quickly without fumbling makes the whole thing easier. It should also hold up on a lawn without the legs punching into the grass.

At an RV campsite. Storage space is a real constraint. How the chair packs matters as much as how it sits. Our chairs fold flat and store without taking over the interior.

At a national park or dispersed campsite. Ground surfaces are not always level. A wider base helps. Legs that dig in rather than tip over when someone shifts their weight make a difference when you are out there for a few days.

Weekend camping with kids or family. Chairs get knocked over, dragged across the ground, and loaded into vehicles in a hurry. We build ours to handle regular use without the frame bending or the fabric tearing at the seams.

What We Are Honest About

We do not claim our chairs are perfect for every situation. They are made for regular recreational outdoor use — camping, cookouts, and fireside evenings. They are not designed for commercial or industrial applications.

If you have a question before buying — about weight capacity, dimensions, how it fits in a specific vehicle, or whether it works on a particular surface — just ask. We would rather you have the right information upfront than deal with a return after the fact.

Our Commitment

If something does not work the way it should, we want to hear about it. We read every email and respond within one business day.

  • Accurate product descriptions with real specifications
  • Straightforward pricing with no hidden fees
  • Honest answers to pre-purchase questions
  • A return process that is not designed to discourage returns

Your satisfaction matters to us — not as a tagline, but because repeat customers and word-of-mouth are how a small business survives. We earn that by being straightforward.
